The AN124 has a total crew of 16-20 people. Six of them belongs to the flying crew, two pilots, two flight engineers, one navigator and
one communicator. The remaining  people are mechanics and logistic crew. The AN124 can take on a load of 120 tonnes.
The cargo compartment can take 700 cubic metres of cargo and with two tier system it can take on 53 cars. The aircraft has an
empty range of 15000 km, with 60 tonnes load it flies 10000 km and with a full load, 120 tonnes, it flies 4500 km. The AN124 is
equipped with 4 x Lotarev D-18T turbofan engines with a trust of 229,5 kN each. The upper deck, behind the cockpit, cosists of
galley, lavatories, crew relif cabins, and a seatings for 88 passengers. The passenger compartment is usually partly converted to
a repair work shop and spare part store.
